A common cause of this is slouching and a posterior pelvic tilt.

Facet Syndrome - where the posterior facets of the vertebrae become irritated through shear and torsion forces. A small bursae on the facet can become inflamed and cause inflammation local to the nerves that exit the foramen. This is usually found with those that have a lumbar lordosis and is the commonest form of back pain.

Adhesions along the neural pathways - This is the hardest form of back pain to treat and diagnose and is usually only discovered in cadavers. It is a consequence of a previous disk herniation so a history of back pain usually creates more back pain in the future.

The best remedy for back pain is a sports massage.

Back pain is resolved at Muswell Hill Personal Training.

Baby Massage

Baby Massage Courses in Muswell Hill

Baby massage is now being provided by Christine - our pregnancy and deep tissue therapist. To do this, bend forward and move slowly from side to side. If your lower back pain increases then you may have a bulging disk compressing the spinal cord. If the lower back pain decreases as you bend forward, you likely are merely irritating the posterior facets.
2.	Brace! Try bracing your stomach whilst moving about. This will take pressure off your vertebral column and should lessen your back pain.
3.	Stretch! Lie on your back and hold your knees to your chest, slowly rock your legs from side to side. This will open up space within the foramen for your nerves to be freed up.
4.	Exercise! Take up an integrative sport which challenges your whole body such as badminton or football. Sports such as cycling and running may not utilise your core muscles sufficiently.
5.	Massage! Find a qualified massage therapist to sink an elbow in the region where you feel most pain. This is often enough to alleviate the problem temporarily but don’t neglect the exercise.

We resolve back pain at North London Personal Training
